This collection is my first solo exhibition in Tehran back in 2006. The days when, on the way back to university, out of curiosity, I found abandoned cars. A cemetery with a dark and murky shadow of death. In those days I wandered among crushed and rusty metals of vehicles and tied them to my thoughts and imagination. I remember that cemetery near “Deh vanak” in Tehran had drowned me to it and involved me deeply. So, I started photographing these pieces of Iron. I combined the lifeless bodies of the cars with the dried trees and brought them to the canvas. Trees that were considered dead and forgotten. For me, geometric cuts were an escape from customary frames. At that time, these cuts were supposed to be a break from tradition. I chose to paint on the wood panel so I can shape them the way that I wanted. these paintings are the beginning of my artistic adventures.
